This is my 476's post on this blog o O I never realised it's been around for so long... and that I've posted that much. (not a mobile entry, this one. I'm doing a proper entry!)

Archive isn't available to the public (except to some who can get into it by cheating the green snow rabbit =_= poor thing...) but reading some past posts made me realise... wow, things changed so much throughout the years, including my way of writing blog posts.

... I suppose it's good. Sometimes change is for the worse- in fact, for most cases, change in a person is what brings about the end to a good friendship or relationship (eg, change of heart, change of attitude, change of mind, change in environment), but I think in this case, the change is for a better turn.

L can truthfully say she is happy.

What is happiness?

A combination of hedonist theory, and the life-satisfaction theory, and to get one's desires maybe? Life may not be all about pleasure- there is more to one's happiness than merely "feeling good", but I get enough pleasures in life these days, with a good balance of "pain" and "pleasure" (eg. spending a day with someone special vs having to work all night on a frustrating difficult essay). Life satisfaction... outlook on life isn't too bad at the moment. Sure, after graduating, there's going to be half a year of... void, but I have plans for that half a year, goals to work towards, relationships to sustain and uphold, work to further improve, people to care for (note to self: really need to spend more time with my family, I can't believe I didn't see my mum at all two days ago, despite living in the same house) and loads more. Then the question of: Have I gained what I desire? In a simple word: yes. (no further elaboration of that =D )

IMO, people must spend time to reflect and introspect themselves from time to time... in order to answer the question of "am I happy". I used to ask this question to a friend very often (and I get asked back as well, but I used to simply answer without much thought, just like how one would ask customers "how are you today?" and 99/100 of them will reply "good" or "well"... when obviously, not everyone of those 99 people will be truly "good" or "well"), and I wish to ask that question to that same friend now. I wonder what the answer will be. If it's a "no", what can be done to make a person happier? Or, how would one make oneself happy.. should be a more appropriate question. It isn't considered selfishness to want happiness. I still think that if you're happy, others around you will feel it and it will somehow rub off on them too. I know it happens to me- if I'm in a crappy mood, and I'm talking to someone who's bubbly and happy.. sometimes it's hard not to be happy too. People like that are amazing- those that you can't stay angry at for long, or those that subconsciously make others happy just being around them.

I shall leave it at that. Since I'm at my computer, I can post more than one photo! =D (be prepared if you're capped) Photos are not in order, just random ones:

Have you seen any cake as cute as that? =D 85 degrees have been putting out cakes like that recently, and it's just absolutely cuteness. Imagine cutting a slice out of that and putting it in your mouth.... (I don't think they'll have the sense of (black) humour to fill it with red jam or something ^^'')

Oh my gosh, nostalgic. Have not had durian in forever (thanks to half my family not being able to stand the fragrance of it) and eating this was pure "pleasure" =P

And after 10 minutes, all gone! =D Oh, it's on special next week in Franklins! Save $2~ they should stop putting ice cream on special, I have a tub of ice cream in the freezer every single time I work (always replaced by a new tub as soon as I finish one due to specials)

Tuesday. The day two assignments are due.. Philosophy and digital arts. Was really sleepy this morning and after handing in those two assignments, I went to yum cha with TT at regal. Ate chicken feet for the second time in my life and my opinion of it hasn't really changed. It's like eating spongy, loose fatty skin.. ^^" their siew mai is really good though, and mango pancake! ><

Headed over to Norita Boardgame cafe to "work on our essay due on friday".. But it ended up (right from the start) becoming a 2 hour long game of Scrabble. I lost by two points ; ;

On the bus back home and it's time to (really!) work on this essay.

I am officially sick of essays. 3 in one week is more than enough to last me a lifetime.

Waiting to get picked up at Strathfield and sat at Gloria Jeans for about 45 minutes working on my essay.. (Yea, it's still not done, but I have learnt a lot from researching about it, I feel enlightened, haha) and this man was going around to everyone asking for change.

The thing is, after a while, he got enough money and.. Went to the counter to get a slice of raisin bread with butter. From Gloria Jeans.

Call me unsympathetic and hypocritical, but I don't understand that at all. Why would someone with not enough money and desperate enough to beg.. get overpriced food from a cafe, when a supermarket is just close by (5 minutes walk max. And it was still open) and he could have gotten a whole loaf of raisin bread and a stick of cheap butter for the same price?

Ok, I'm not exactly poor (though I like to claim that I am but a poor student) and I still have a job despite the currently atrocious economy, but still, why go after luxury when it is totally not necessary?

Maybe I'm just annoyed because I feel ripped off for donating money to Gloria Jeans rather than to a needy man.
